Guest Editors: Dr. Jacek Siry (University of Georgia) & Dr. Frederick Cubbage (North Carolina State University)
BACKGROUND
The Journal of Forest Business Research (JFBR) is pleased to announce a forthcoming Thematic Issue dedicated to advancing the frontiers of forest resource economics, business and sustainability research. This initiative stems from the V International Forest Business Conference (www.fba-events.com) that recognizes that the forestry sector faces evolving challenges and opportunities, necessitating a comprehensive exploration of this thematic issue. As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, this Thematic Issue aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute cutting-edge insights into the economics of forestry, timber markets, timberland investments, and forest products trade.
AIM AND SCOPE
The primary objective of this Thematic Issue is to foster a deeper understanding of the multifaceted aspects of forest resource management, with a focus on economic and business sustainability. By bringing together diverse perspectives, the aim is to bridge gaps in knowledge, identify emerging trends, and propose innovative solutions. Through rigorous scholarly contributions, we seek to advance the discourse on topics such as the financial aspects of forest management and utilization, timber supply and demand dynamics, international trade, forest policy, legal considerations, and other pressing issues integral to the forestry business.
Through this Thematic Issue, we aim to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in forest resource economics, fostering a deeper understanding of the interplay between economic viability and environmental sustainability in the forestry sector.
